Broad Classification of Smartphone apps
In order to examine the key determinants in deciding the purchase of Smartphone Apps, a classification of apps is needed. Because customers may have different consideration factors in deciding the purchase depending on the App type, we first classified Apps into 4 categories:
Productivity Entertainment, Information, and Networking

Reliability Analysis
By examining the Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficients shown in the table below, we found strong support for construct reliability. All measurement scales showed relatively high Cronbach Alpha coefficients at N > 0.80

Validity Analysis
Construct validity was assessed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to test the fit of the data to the model. Principal component analysis was conducted with a six-factor solution, with eigenvalues greater than 1.0, explaining 81.1% of the variance in the data set. The results are shown in the table below.  The results of confirmatory factor analysis indicated that the scales were not only reliable, but also valid for the factors under study.
